Mitr, in association with SAATHII, an NGO working for solidarity and action against the HIV infection in India, presents the screening of the film, More Than a Friend, by Debalina, on Saturday, March 9 at 6 pm at the Central Lecture Theatre.
This film explores the lives of four characters in the context of growing awareness on homososexual relationships in India and is interspersed with real-life interviews of people belonging to various sections of the LGBT community and Indian society in general. The film presents the multifaceted nature of the debates around the subject.
Following the screening will be a discussion on LGBT matters, particularly in the context of IITM students, by students and professionals, viz.:
