Howdy, Python preconference staff!  This is the Google group we're going to be using to coordinate and communicate as the preconference (June 28) approaches.  Stay tuned for upcoming info on the event web site and virtual office hours.

Right now, though, a request.  Early bird conference registration for ALA closes THIS FRIDAY, and we're going to be using those registration estimates for planning purposes -- so we'd like them to be as high as possible ;)  Can you email your listservs, rally your socialnets, invite your friends, et cetera, about registering for the preconference?  (Info at http://ala13.ala.org/ticketed-events#LITA .)

I've emailed lita-l and code4lib, and Shana and Jen are covering metadata librarians, autocat, radcat, and alcts-leaders, so no need to hit those.  But anywhere else you think might be interested that you're a part of (including most definitely non-traditionally-techie librarians) -- that would be great.  Thanks!
