Role :  Automation Architect

Hire Type : Contract
Location :  Foster City, CA
 
Role and Responsibilities

·         Develop and configure IT Infrastructure Automation Testing Framework for UI, non-UI and embedded systems testing

·         Coordinate with Test Manager and support engineers to deliver stable enterprise software products

·         Enhance Infrastructure testing framework and develop automated tests using CI Jenkins to ensure consistency

·         Contribute to Infrastructure Automation testing framework, tools and technologies

·         Estimate tasks accurately, analyze and communicate test results with team members for work activities

·         Conduct automated Functional, Regression, Security, Performance, System, Network and UAT tests according to the Acceptance Criteria

·         Record test results into management tool

·         Prepare reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of their test scripts

 

Required Skills:

·         Extensive background in Jenkins, Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, QTP, JUnit

·         Good experience in Python, Java, Shell scripting

·         Experience with Desktop Applications automation testing techniques

·         Knowledge of Infrastructure Automation Tools (e.g. Jenkins CI, Chef, Selenium Web Driver, QTP, Vagrant, Auto IT, Test Complete, Load Runner)

·         Code repositories (e.g. GIT), build frameworks/tools (ANT/Maven)

·         Ability to work across Windows VDIs and cloud resources is strongly desired

·         Experience with automation testing of Windows Desktop or Mobile Apps is a plus

·         Familiar with any of Configuration Management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP QC)

·         Knowledge of Windows systems performance monitoring tools (e.g. Windows Performance Kit, Solar Winds, SCOM)

 

Desired Skills:

·         Strong organization and communication skills – both written and verbal

·         Highly motivated self-starter with an insatiable desire to learn new technology

·         Excellent logic, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
