The
Principle Architect directs a staff of Architects in ensuring that common
architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT in
order to support the business and IT strategy. The position requires working
with the Business Process Management team focused on Pega. The Lead Pega
Architect will be responsible for hands-on end to end design and implementation
of high performing and integrated Pega based solution that is scalable, build
for change and meets the functional and non-functional requirements. The
position will also focus on other BPM products and support the automation
initiatives.
• Responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, and delivery of IT
architecture solutions that are appropriate for the business and IT strategies
in one or more domains.
• Oversee the effort to provide integrated systems analysis and recommends
appropriate hardware, software, and communication links required to support IT
goals and strategy. This may include coordinating activities of the project
team and assisting in the monitoring of project schedules and costs.
• Manage the effort to support, resolve and document issues that arise in the
architecture. This may include reviewing designs and recommending improvements
to the architecture.
• Responsible for being aware of IT industry trends, and enterprise standards
and methodology and being able to react to issues that arise.
• Define, implement and maintain technology security infrastructure, policies,
processes and procedures to proactively protect, monitor, investigate and
resolve threats to a secure user environment and company assets.
• Translate complex business requirements into functional technical
requirements using PegaSystems DCO tools.
• Architects multi-tier Scalable enterprise applications that are within the
Pega Guardrails.
• Provide direction to stakeholders and leadership regarding the architecture,
design and hands-on development of Pega.
Requirements:
• 10 plus years of total experience in J2EE and PRPC. Hands on delivery of large and complex enterprise solutions.
• Extensive BPM knowledge and experience on mapping processes and requirements into an effective solution through Pega Platform.
• Knowledge and experience of Banking domain frameworks such as Customer Process Manager, Claims, Smart Dispute, Smart Investigate would be a plus.
• Experience creating an enterprise architecture (application, data, and technical) that is aligned to business and IT imperatives.
• Experience with building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, clients, peers, supervisors, subordinates and other internal company staff.
• Possess knowledge and understanding of specific firm-wide application. Example Applications: DB2/SQL, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), Outlook, Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Windows 200X Server, Novell, Oracle, OS/2, OS/400, PeopleSoft, PHP, Rational Tool Suite, RDBMS (Oracle 9.x, MSDE SQL Server 2000), SAP, Siebel, UNIX, Web Services, Windows SharePoint Services
• High level skill and understanding of Pega best practices and guardrail compliance.
• Experience working on relational database modeling and SQL query optimization.
• Experience with Object Oriented Programming using Java
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Process Management
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pega PRPC (6.x, 7.x versions) and frameworks
• Experience with Blue Prism, Staffware and Bizagi software products is a plus.
• Deep Understanding of design patterns and Class Structure concepts.
• Experience in PRPC Integrations services using SOAP, REST, MQ etc.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Senior System Architect Certification (CSSA) required.
• Lead System Architect Certification (CLSA) preferred.
