In today's era, we
do not realize the struggle our
beloved prophets went through to provide us with this
sacred message. The tremendous
journeys they embarked upon for us to be
Muslims. The immense level of
patience that
Yusuf (Peace be upon him) demonstrated at such a
difficult time. A time when his brothers were so
jealous of him, they wanted him dead. This was a time when he, the Prophet of
Allah, was being traded off as a
slave in Egypt. Then there was
Musa (Peace be upon him). The extreme level of
perseverance and courage he modeled throughout
Pharoah's persecution. The level of
determination and will power that he had was like no other. Then, there came a man from the desert sands of Arabia, a man named
Muhammad (peace be upon him). The great
mercy he
(peace be upon him) displayed was truly a unique gift from
Allah. At Taif, children threw
stones at him
(peace be upon him) until his shoes became drenched in
blood! In return, what did he
(peace be upon him) show? Only
kindness and mercy.
It's time that we all ask ourselves, "How thankful am I that I am
Muslim today?" It is an honor, that we as Muslims, have received this
beautiful gift of Islam, through these beautiful Prophets.
