The Tremor package builds on the already available FX4 package. The Maverick Tremor receives a one-inch suspension lift with an off-road tailored front and rear suspension. It gets a new all-wheel drive system with a four-wheel-drive lock, a rear differential lock and the ability to send "virtually all" of the rear axle torque to either wheel.
It also adds Ford's Trail Control off-road cruise control, standard Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires, steel skid plates and a modified lower front fascia that improves the Maverick's approach angle. You also get cooler-looking wheels and orange tow hooks.
But the really big news with the Tremor package is the improved suspension. FOX 2.0 monotube shocks all around, with piggyback reservoirs in the rear, mark the major upgrade. With new off-road-tuned coil springs up front and leaf springs out back, these new shocks provide a plush ride on road and off.
While the new Ranger Tremor model lacks a few things found on the competition (33-inch tires, front locker, diesel option, manual transmission, etc.) it should be a great all-around truck for 99% of casual off-road explorers.
The Ranger Tremor is only available with a four-door, five passenger cab. The front seat is spacious, with an accommodating center console and easy to use touch screen. The rear bench seat has good leg and head room. Leather upholstery with suede inserts, accent stitching and a Tremor logo are standard.
