Eligibility Criteria   ·         General Category - Passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Statutory Board with 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). ·         SC/ST - Passed H.SC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Statutory Board with 55% aggregate marks in PCM. ·         Students who have good scores in various entrance examinations like SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) or AIEEE or JEE or MHCET will be considered for admission. Note: - Valid scores for above mentioned entrance test of year 2009 will be considered for admission process.   Policy of admission against vacant seats under reserved category   In case some seats remain vacant due to the non-availability of suitable candidates in the categories of reservations then information about the number of vacant seats in each categroy will be reported to the Symbiosis International University and with the permission of the Vice-Chancellor , the seats will be converted to the general category seats and students on merit list will be offered these seats.   Reservations   The following are the reservation rules that shall be followed while admitting Indian students: With-in the intake :   ·         Scheduled Caste 15% ·         Schedule Tribe: 7.5% ·         Differently abled students 3% ·         Management Quota 15% over and above sanctioned intake ·         Kashmiri migrants 2 seats over and above the sanctioned intake ·         International students (NRI / Foreign / PIO) 15%     Fee Structure   Category : General Management Quota ·         Fees – Rs. 1, 60, 000/- ·         Caution Money Deposit Rs. 10,000/- (one time) ·         Examination Fee Rs. 6200/- per year ·         Fees - Rs. 3, 20, 000/- ·         Caution money Deposit Rs. 10,000/- (one time) ·         Examination Fee Rs. 6200/- per year   How to apply   - Through SET Candidates’ applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology through SET examination is required to register on www.set-test.org and after registration to the SET, student will do institutional registration through SET website to get admitted to SIT. Step - I Registration to SET examination at SET website will be done by paying Total Rs. 1400/- . (Rs. Fourteen Hundred only) through online payment or cash or DD. DD should be drawn in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.    Sign the single copy of the ‘Payment Advice’ for Demand Draft  and send  it  along with Demand Draft to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat at, Symbiosis International University’s Symbiosis Test Secretariat Symbiosis Knowledge Village, via Sus Road, Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, Dist: Pune – 411042 (India) Phone: 020-39116226 / 27 Step - II For Institutional registration, after registration to the SET, student will do institutional registration through SET website by paying Rs. 1000/-. (Rs. One thousand only) through online payment or cash or DD . DD should be drawn in the favor of “Symbiosis Institute of Technology” payable at Pune and send it on below mentioned address on or before May 9, 2009. SIT Address:  Symbiosis Institute of Technology,                      Symbiosis Knowledge Village,                      Village: Lavale, Taluka Mulshi,                      Pune: -411 021   Use your SET ID and password to Login and do the online Registration for SIT   - Through Other Entrance examination Candidates applying to Symbiosis Institute of Technology through other entrance examination such as JEE, AIEEE or MHCET are required to register directly on Institutional website www.sit.siu.edu.into get admitted to SIT. Step - I Those students who have valid score of JEE, MHTCET, AIEEE, must login to institutional site http://sit.siu.edu.in/ and fill the application form and submit it online by paying Rs 1500/- through online payment or cash or DD in favor of ‘Symbiosis Institute of Technology’ payable at Pune. ·         Online Payment: Those students who have valid score of JEE, MHCET, AIEEE, must login to institutional site http://sit.siu.edu.in/ and fill the application form and submit it online. The provision of online payment is available on the website. After receiving the payment the prospectus will be sent to the residential address. ·         Payment through DD: Those students who have valid score of JEE, MHCET, AIEEE, must login to institutional site http://sit.siu.edu.in/ and fill the application form and submit it online and then take a print out of the application form and send it to institute along with DD (demand draft) of required payment. After receiving the payment the prospectus will be sent to the residential address. D.D. Amount: Rs. 1500/-. (Rs. Fifteen hundred only.) DD should be drawn in the favor of “Symbiosis Institute of Technology” payable at Pune . and send it on below mentioned address on or before June 15, 2009 SIT Address: Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Symbiosis Knowledge Village Village: Lavale, Taluka Mulshi, Pune: -411 021 ·         Payment through Cash: Those students who have valid score of JEE, MHCET, AIEEE, must login to institutional site http://sit.siu.edu.in/ and fill the application form and submit it online and then take a print out of the application form and submit it along with the cash on cash counter of Institute and buy the prospectus. Cash Amount Rs. 1500/- (Rs. Fifteen hundred only).
