| ADG Gurus, I'm shopping for a mixed signal oscilloscope for use with microcontroller and remote control hobby projects. Does anybody here have an opinion of the Owon MSO8102T or the Rigol DS1102D (or of those brands in general)? Are there any other products I should look at? I'm open to PC-based solutions if they offer comparable performance and lower price. I'm looking for dependable "adequate" functionality at a low price. Minimums: * Under $1000 (including necessary accessories such as probes & PC software) * 2 analog channels at 100 MHz or better * 8 digital channels * 2 mV or finer * V/t cursors * MaxV, Period, Frequency, Duty Cycle, etc. measurements * Some modern mechanism for transferring images to a PC (USB cable, USB drive, etc. but not 3.5" floppy) * Bonus points if multiple digital lines can be displayed as a single bus with a binary/octal/hex value * Bonus points if compatible with Linux This is my first time buying a scope (labs at school & work were pre-furbished), so please let me know if I'm overlooking any key parameters. Thanks guys! Chris |
