Pavlok - A serious Beeminder competitor?

Maneesh Sethi, the behavior change expert that hired a girl off Craigslist to slap him in the face every time he got distracted from working on his thesis, has come up with something even weirder: A wristband that let your friends electroshock you if you don't stick to your habits. It may even act as an alarm clock that give an electric shock you if you snooze too many times. Wakeup guaranteed!  

The video below, an interview on habit change, was very interesting so I recommend watching in its entirety. However the link jumps directly to the good part with a demonstration of the shock function.
