Minister Mervyn Silva has warned that he would cut off the hands of animal slaughterers in the future.
He was addressing a function at a school in Kelaniya yesterday (Sept. 16).
The minister said that coconut dashing against him was taking place after he stopped the animal slaughter at Kali Kovil in Chilaw.
He said he would never experience bad times due to his belief on gods and Buddha, adding that he would soon close beef stalls in Gampaha district.
The minister went onto say that students of international schools have forgotten their culture.
