Subject: FW: Paid Parking Zones in Khobar and Dammam
Paid Parking Zones in Khobar and Dammam are now activated, so be careful while parking in the marked paid zones. For more info, please visit: http://www.mawgif.com/
Why paid parking?
Currently, the city centers suffer from congestion, bad parking behavior, and vehicles standing idle. Parking management is necessary in order to improve traffic flow, ensure that drivers park correctly within designated spaces, and improve business activities by increasing the turnover of parking spaces; therefore making spaces available for customers who currently avoid the area due to congestion problems.
Enforcement
Breaking parking rules and regulations is a serious offence. Parking enforcement officers patrol streets issuing Charge Notices (CN) to drivers who don’t pay for parking, display expired tickets, or violate any other parking regulations. Certain violations are subject to an immediate removal of the vehicle to an impound yard. Owners whose vehicles have been towed will be subject to a tow and storage fee.
Paid parking hours
Paid parking hours are as follows.
Sat - Thurs
|
08 am to 12 pm |
& |
04pm to 10pm |
|
|
|
|
Please note that parking hours are strictly limited to the hours shown on parking meters. Enforcement officers will monitor the time a vehicle is parked in a paid space and impose parking penalties if it has overstayed its time limit.

Pay & Display Drivers looking to park within the paid parking zone will have to purchase tickets from parking meters, which are located on sidewalks within the zone. Look out for signs pointing to the nearest meter. The process is as follows: · Park entirely within the marked space or bay. · Go to the machine and pay for parking using: E-Wallet, Card, or Cash. · Take ticket and display it on the dashboard so that it can be easily seen. · Return to the vehicle within the time paid for
