Menu Board Advertising Available
At
all Gross-Alaska theaters in Juneau and Ketchikan there are digital
menu boards in the concession area, which have trivia and coming soon
movie posters. In addition to advertising on the cinema screen, now you
can have your onscreen advertisement displayed on these menu boards for
only a weekly charge of $10/theater (Glacier Valley Juneau, Downtown
Juneau & Ketchikan = $30). Menu board advertisements are only
available for those who are currently signed up for onscreen advertising
in the theaters themselves. If you would like to advertise on the menu
boards simply select the option for Menu Boards on theonline order page.
Menu Board advertisements are changed at the beginning of each month so
keep that in mind when you are placing your orders online.
Add a QR Code to your Ad
If you aren't familiar with what a QR code is visitthis page for an explanation or see the QR code I created for Alaska Grafix onakonscreen.com.
Basically, this is a small square box with a mishmash of pixels that
has a message or URL embedded in it. For those who have a smart phone
they can use their QR Code Reader app (which are abundantly available in
a wide variety) to scan the QR code displayed on the screen, which will
take the user directly to contact information, a special promo page or a
page to learn more on about your business or special. This is a cool
savvy way to reach out to some of your more techy customers who may
appreciate the special promo directed towards them. We can provide a QR
code for you for free if you'd like, or you can create your own atqrstuff.com,
or any of the other QR code generating sites. Also consider that ads
that only display for 12 or 15 seconds on the screen will barely be
enough time for a smart phone user to load up their QR Code Reader app
and scan the code, so keep that in mind when deciding whether to add a
QR code to your ad.
STUDY: Onscreen Advertising = Most Effective Advertising
Arbitron Inc, a media information and consumer research company, in conjunction with theNational Association of Theater Owners and theCinema Advertising Council,
did a market research study examining the effective use of advertising
in the traditional media including television, radio, newspaper,
outdoor, internet, as well as cinema advertising. There are some great
findings determined in the study that shows cinema audiences do not mind
the advertising that is part of their cinema experience. Americans feel
movie advertising is more acceptable than advertising on the Internet.
Cinema advertising also delivers traditionally hard-to-reach but highly
desirable demographic groups. More than 60% of cinema audiences are in
their seats 10 minutes or more ahead of their movie, and nearly all
remember specific ads they saw during the cinema pre-show advertising.
For more key findingsread the study.
