Official gazette URI manifestation

Hi Everybody,

 

We are considering to change the URI of the official gazette files in Israel, and  we want to hear your opinion of the following:

 

Today the files are published with an encrypted URI As you can see in the following address:

https://www.gov.il/he/Departments/DynamicCollectors/gazette-official?FolderType=1&skip=0&limit=10

 

We want to give those files a meaningful URI.

 

This little step raises some interesting questions that I would like to hear your opinion about.

The Gazette is organized in publication series (such as primary legislation, secondary legislation ...)

Each series, built in publication booklets numbered in ascending order.

The pages in each publication booklet are numbered in ascending order which resets in every Hebrew year.

Sometimes, when it comes to a multi-page booklet, the publication booklet is split into several sections. The names of the parts are indicated in Hebrew.

 

[www.ela.gov.il]/akn/il/officialGazette/{series }/{Hebrew year}/{booklets number}-{sub number}/{language}@.{file extension}

Partial list of the series will be: [primaryLegislation, secondaryLegislation, secondaryLegislationLocalAuthority, secondaryLegislationTaxes, GeneralPublications, GovernmentBills…]

Sub number is optional.

 

For example a pdf manifestation:

[www.ela.gov.il]/akn/il/officialGazette/primaryLegislation /5737/856-1/he@.pdf

That will be the official gazette primary legislation series, publish in Hebrew at  5737 (Hebrew year), in book number 856, partial 1

 

Another option is to add the first page number to the URI in each publication booklet.

In the example above the address would be:

[www.ela.gov.il]/akn/il/officialGazette/primaryLegislation /5737/856-1/141/he@.pdf
