Hello everyone,
I hope you are well in these Corona days.
Anyway, I would like to consult you on the following issue:
We understand that regardless of the prescribed URI structure, we will have to maintain the Hebrew documents name in the URI representation.
This leads to some challenges, especially because the Israeli legislative names contain special characters.
Some examples of law names:
חוק יסוד: הממשלה
חוק גלי צה"ל - שידורי רדיו של צבא הגנה לישראל (שידורי חסות ותשדירי שירות), התשס"ה-2005
חוק לביטול המג'לה, התשמ"ד-1984
פקודת מסילות הברזל [נוסח חדש], תשל"ב-1972
As you can see all of these rules contain special characters such as the characters: () ', []: "
Most of the above characters can be converted.
For example, the character " (34) can be converted to ״ (encoding 216)
And the character ' (39) can be converted to ׳ (encoding 215)
The question is what to do with colon (the first example above)
- I would love to hear your opinion on whether it is right to keep the names of the documents in the construction of the URI.
Or it might be right to convert the document names into a representative code (the problem that nobody will know these codes)? - I'd love to hear suggestions for dealing with colon issue.
Thank you very much,
Only Health.
