Hello all.
There has been a flurry of email about the Fitness Challenge, with the Winter Fitness Challenge starting in about 10 days. The USMS Fitness Committee is behind this event. It is aimed at
fitness swimmers, which is most of us. The main goal of the
series is to have FUN. There are 3 “events” in the series, Winter (
Feb. 15–28), Summer (July 15–July 31), and Fall (15–Nov. 30), and there are some cool training plans online. The other goal is to raise funds for the Swimming Saves Lives Foundation.
Oh, and there are only two rules: 1) There are no rules, and 2) HAVE FUN! The event is a 30-minute swim, done in any manner desired. You want to use fins, use fins. You want to use a snorkel, use a snorkel.
