Hey guys, I don't think Latha aunty got a chance to send these out to the google group before she left for India. 

Here's the list of debate topics chandan and I came up with a few weeks ago. We still need two more political, it can relate to either India or the US; but remember it has to be something that the youth would most likely know something about and an issue that will have a strong for and against side. The debate topics in the other sections are by no means final - feel free to give feedback or suggestions for better questions. At the end we'll need to have a vote to select one social, one cultural and one political debate topic.

Social

1. Is it easier to be an Indian boy or girl in America? 

2. Do you think the academic stereotypes about Indians help or hurt your performance in school?

3. Are you okay often taking Indian food for a school lunch? 

Cultural 

1. Is it practical to maintain vegetarianism in America?  

2. Moving back to India vs. staying in the US, would you agree to move to India?

3. Is Bollywood helping or hurting the image of India?

1. What steps would you take elimante poverty in India?
