Do you use context.dispatcher for anything else than as an ExecutionContext?

Well, it would be an ExecutionContext not an Executor, but I can sympathize with "executor".

What this translates to: we’ll deprecate context.dispatcher in favour of context.executor (with type ExecutionContext) in version 2.2. Does anybody have strong feelings about such a change? Other comments?

As long as I was a project member where we used Akka we didn't use it
for anything else than
as an ExecutionContext.
