A) What party does your citizen generally support?
Democratic, because she would probably be supported by government aid.
If she was richer, than she would be a republican.
B) How likely is it your citizen would vote against that party?
Only if she didn't know about the getting rid of social security and
government aid, or if she was really racist, then she would vote
Republican.
C) Does your citizen vote? In presidential elections? Congressional
elections? Local Elections?
Most High School dropouts usually don't vote, but if the old poor girl
felt like her government money will be taken away, she'd vote in every
level that mentions it. Or, if she is racist, or really anti-gay, she
would vote on those aspects as a Republican.
D) What issues are most important to your citizen?
She would most likely be concerned on the amount of strain on the
economy, and since she was a young adult in the late seventies, she
probably feels like there is a lot of change, but no change in
politics. The fact that she is catholic makes me think she might feel
against abortion and against gay rights, but her level of education
and her level of income makes me think there is a chance she might not
care enough to vote, or may not feel like social variation really
can't be helped. She would most likely feel as if the Republican party
wants to take away hand-outs of all kinds, which would probably
threaten her livelihood.
E) What demographics facts about your citizen led you to these
conclusions?
She is white, and living in the south, so she may be racist, which
would make her vote republican because of Obama.
She is catholic, so she may be very pro-life and anti-homosexual
equality.
She is elderly, so she may be more likely to vote on the issues that
matter to her.
She is uneducated and has a low income, so she may vote if concerning
the protections like welfare and social security, making her a
democrat.
