Friendly reminder: Registration is open for the 2025 ASA Alaska Chapter Annual Workshop and Meeting, taking place August 11–12, 2025, at the USGS Alaska Science Center in Anchorage. Remote participation will also be available via Zoom or Teams.
This year’s workshop, "Spatial Linear Models for Environmental Data," will be taught by Jay Ver Hoef (NOAA, retired), Dale Zimmerman (University of Iowa), and Michael Dumelle (EPA). The course is based on the instructors’ book (linked here) and focuses on practical tools and applications using the spmodel R package. Participants will gain hands-on experience working with spatial linear models for environmental data.
