We switched over to a Google Group from our existing UC Berkeley
mailing list. The driving factor is that to own and manage a UCB list,
you need to have an active UCB account, and our accounts shut down soon
after graduation. Plus a groups based mailing list has some nice extra
features.
Anyway, to join the new list, you have a few options. The easiest is
to send an email to:

and press the various buttons.
Kevin moved many of the emails sent to the old list into the new list's
archives. If you were tracking anything particularly important, don't
delete it.
I'll send out invites to everyone on the current list and disable this
list shortly.
