Greetings from sunny (and hot) Tucson!  We will “bring” our continued support, encouragement and best wishes to everyone from afar.  You will simply have to fantasize about the berry cobbler!  Thanks for keeping us in the loop.  Hope the summer weather holds up for the picnic!

Hi everybody,

Sorry to say but we'll be out of town this weekend. The good news is
that we found a fishing charter in Seward that can accommodate
wheelchairs. It is a large catamaran that is much more stable than the
other charter boats. We'll give you a full report soon.

I hope you have a great time!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for all of the updates.

Mona: Oh, yes... Thanks for asking! The picnic is on Sunday, August 4th @ 2PM. Not on Saturday. I'm glad you brought it up! :)

We'll be under the picnic shelter, unless its raining, then we'll be inside in the West Room. Last I checked, the forecast for Sunday had a 60% of a West Room picnic. LoL.

Wes: sorry we'll be missing you this weekend, but we definitely hope you have a great time and catch as much fish as you can! That sounds like fun! Who are you going with?Last fall we had set up a trip out with Salt Water Safari, I believe it was, out of Seward. They said they could accommodate wheelchairs.

Karen & Erik: sorry we'll be missing you (and the cherry cobbler. Haha.) We hope you're having a wonderful summer in AZ... and not melting while doing it. Can't believe how hot it gets there... It's been 70° for a couple weeks here, and some Alaskans can't handle that. LoL. Cant wait to see you at our meetings again... Miss and love you guys!

Nathan: Thanks for volunteering! water and soda would be perfect. I guess as far as flavors, what usually try to do is bring a classic, dark cola (like Coke/Pepsi, root beer, etc.), maybe a non-dark like Sprite/Sierra Mist-like, and something fruity... Maybe a grape or orange soda, or even juice. Something diet is always a welcome option too. Whatever you can bring though, is helpful. I also have some plastic drink dispensers with pour spouts I'll bring just I case.

Finally, here's an updated list of our menu and its contributors...

Valerie: grill, burgers, dogs, fixings/condiments, ice to keep food cold, large cooler

J: plates, cups, utensils, napkins, straws, cake

Matt: meat (pork butt), grill supplies, meat sauces/seasoning

Maydeen (J's mom): pasta salad

Mona: fruit

Michael: cherries

Nathan: drinks

Esther: kabobs/skewers

Alyssa: potato salad

Michelle, PT from Prov:

Liz from the CVA group:

Wilber:

Robby (new):

Richard (new):

Wally:

Here is some of other suggestions… Feel free to pick from this list, or bring something else:

Ice

Chips

Watermelon/other fruits

Cookies/other snacks

Pie/other desserts

Side dishes (casserole, salad, mash potatoes, etc.)

Let us know what you can bring and we'll get the list updated.

There is also the Facebook event page for the picnic, for all of you social network addicts. Haha.

Hello everyone,

I just want to send another email to really make sure everyone has the correct time written down. The picnic is 100% on Sunday, August 4th @ 2PM. Not on Saturday. We're really sorry for the confusion in listing two dates.

A Saturday picnic might be nice, but unfortunately since wedding are popular at the facilities at Kincaid, they have been booked out on Saturdays since the reservations were made a couple months ago. I also called and confirmed the reservation for this time, just a few minutes ago before sending this message out.

We'll be under the picnic shelter, unless its raining, then we'll be inside in the West Room. Last I checked, the forecast for Sunday had a 60% of rain, and a West Room picnic.

The address is:
9401 W. Raspberry Rd.

Once again, terribly sorry for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.
