Reminder that SCI support group is NOT 7/3, but rather 7/10

Hi Everyone,

 

I just wanted to remind everyone that the SCI support group will be on July 10, not July 3 because of the holiday.  Megan Wentworth, RN, Certified Rehab Nurse Specialist and Rehab Case Manger will be presenting on Depression.  The meeting will be at OPA as normal.  Unfortunately, I am going out of state for 2.5 weeks this Friday and will miss the group meeting.  I am very sorry.  Would anyone be willing to help with bringing snacks.  Jay/Jay’s mom and I alternate bring food and this is my month.  I do not want Jay to have to do it.  I can contribute money if someone is willing to bring snacks.

 

Don’t forget about the Aug’s SCI 3^rd Annual BBQ… Jay will give us all the details soon.

Thanks Nathan! That's nice of you. My mom and I can bring drinks then, or something else if you want. I don't think there are any allergies. I don't remember anyone having allergies at least. Anything should be fine. 

3rd Annual Picnic

This year it will be held on Sunday, August 4th. It starts at 1PM, and typically lasts until the crowd dies down. Previously, that's been about 4 hours or so, I'd say.

It will be at the same place at as the previous two, at Kincaid Park in west Anchorage. The address is:

9401 Raspberry Rd, Anchorage

Hello Valarie and all SCI members,

Erik and I are headed back to Tucson (via a couple side trips to Oregon and South Dakota!) next Monday night.  We are sorry to miss the meeting and 3^rd annual picnic.  Our thoughts will be with all of you and we will be sure to check in the next time we are in Anchorage.  Please keep us in the loop and we wish everyone a safe and sunny rest of summer.

We will miss both of you!  The desert is not going to be same without you J.  J is wonderful about posting things on facebook so I will take pictures & make sure you get to see some.  I have wonderful pictures from last year that you might want to see to.
