In the upcoming Participation Rate (aka Spring OASIS) you’ll be asked to report the disability of the student in a way that is not consistent with how disability is reported in the Summer OASIS.

My advice is not to change how you track disability just for this report. Track disability as you would for the Summer OASIS, and use the notes field to identify your transfer to GE students, then manually change their disability in your data file to 0 before reporting.

For example, this student was on an IEP until 1/17/24 and then transferred to GE. All the data on the page needs to stay the way it is for the Summer OASIS to be accurate; don’t change it. However, you can to add something to the notes field to indicate that the student should be reported with a disability code of 0 in the Participation Rate. Then, filter your data file and make the change in the spreadsheet outside of PS.

For those of you who use my AK Data Validation plugin, there are a couple additional rules in the Participation Rate section to help you identify these students.
