Greetings, All

I'm creating a process for our counselors to more easily determine APS eligibility for our students.

To that end, I'm filling out the APS section of our Course Information in Powerschool. There are 3 APS Course Types:
Standard
Equivalent
Additional

Does anyone know the difference, or can point me toward documentation, between Equivalent and Additional? I've pulled all the FAQ documents off DEED's website, but I was hoping for something more definitive.
My best guess is that an Equivalent means a course with a different name than one on the approved list, but covers the same content.
Additional Courses would then be courses that can be substituted into the "substitution" slots for the various Curriculum Options.

Thanks in advance,

Robin and I just had this conversation last week. If you want to give me a phone call, I can give you the history behind APS, what districts are supposed to be doing, and answer this question for you.
