Am I remembering wrong?

Was there once upon a time a preset third gender option? Right now as of today we only have Male and Female in our drop downs, but i feel like I recall in 2021-23 there was a third option. I can't recall what it was - maybe Non-Bianary, and our district wouldn't have gone in the backend to make a third appear either. Am I remembering wrong?  We now have several students who would have been marked as a third option, but now are only blank under Gender and the Legal Gender is filled.

Mara,

I’ve just set this up for you. (For those of you who would like to do the same, there is a Gender Code Set where you can define additional values.)

Please note that if you change Gender from M/F, you will need to have a M/F populated in the Legal Gender field. AK State reporting does not currently recognize any gender values besides M/F. Additionally, I configured the Gender Pronouns to return they/them/their in form letters/places you use the pronoun data access tag. (District Management -> People - > Gender Pronouns)

Additionally, on future Civil Rights Data Collections (a federal report), you will need to indicate that you collect information about non-gender students.
