Discipline Tracking issue

[Kyle Schneider]

The update that PowerSchool released for hosting customers over the weekend has caused an issue where prior Discipline Tracking entries no longer show up on the page. Rest assured, the data is still there. One school district has already filed a support case about it, and I’ve communicated details, along with a fix, to PowerSchool’s Alaska state reporting manager.

If you need the functionality restored to normal faster than PowerSchool can get an update released, let me know and I can help you with a custom page that will restore functionality. (Though that does mean removing the custom page once PowerSchool releases an update.)

I have called and created a case. This has only affected Alaska. I am the 3rd District to file a support case. They have put it at a Tier II, Business Critical.  There is no date for the new release at this time to fix this issue, and no workaround at this time. (Data Export Manager does not work, and no DATs for the discipline to be able to use DDE.)

Andrea,

We had Kyle Schneider install a quick custom page, as he offered earlier in the thread. It works perfectly and took very little time (he already had access to our district's instance, though, so that might vary for you if he hasn't worked with Delta Greely yet). Our users don't even realize that what they see is a workaround; it looks normal on their side. Highly recommend.

Based on my testing this morning, the state reporting update PowerSchool installed over the weekend seems to have fixed this issue. If you are one of the 8 districts that had me install a temporary fix, I’ve removed it from your server.
