Messaging app for teachers?

We are looking at giving our teachers the ability to message parents from within PowerSchool.
We currently use Alert Solutions (aka SwiftK12) and they sell an add-on feature that allows teachers to send voice/SMS/email messages from within PowerTeacher. Does anyone out there use this?
Some of you may use School Messenger, does it have a similar feature? Is teacher messaging included in the price or at an additional cost?
I’m looking to see what kinds of things we should consider before making a decision. Do you have any guidelines for teachers to follow before sending a message to parents via SMS or email?

Highly highly recommend Bright Arrow.
Alert Solutions when parents updates their phone numbers will strip out the dashes when pushing back into PowerSchool.
School messenger makes you send them the report cards to later mail out and depending how the report cards are created might require you to compress them first. Also I believe forces you to sign more then one year contract which later becomes hard to leave.
Bright Arrow is all in one and no additional cost to allow teachers to send out announcements no sending report cards from within PowerSchool.
Raymond the owner, Support team and Dev – Jason Treadwell are all top notch… and Jason came from supporting PowerSchool at both a school district and later worked on customizations at Computer Logic before going to Bright Arrow
