Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking into long-term flooring solutions for a few upcoming facility projects that deal with significant thermal shock and high chemical exposure.

In my experience, standard epoxy coatings sometimes struggle with these specific, high-stress conditions over time. I’ve been researching Urethane Mortar Systems as a more robust alternative for these types of environments—particularly for areas like commercial kitchens and industrial manufacturing plants where durability and resistance to harsh operational stressors are non-negotiable.

For those of you who have worked with or specified these systems, do you have any specific tips on substrate preparation requirements, or are there particular performance metrics you prioritize when selecting a product?

I recently came across some detailed information on the technical application and benefits of these systems at AK Level & Polish, and it got me thinking about how critical the installation process is to the final performance of the floor.

Looking forward to hearing your insights and experiences.

Best regards,
