I'd love to see something like this live driver tracker:
implemented into this project.

It has been considered but you can only approximate a driver's
position and speed of rotation based on a rolling average of their
sector/lap times. To replicate the functionality exactly would require
GPS positions, which unfortunately the feed does not publish. Would
this approximation suffice?
