Sr. Web Services developer with RESTful, SpringBoot and automation experience. 
Location: All work to be performed from Franklin Lakes NJ. 6 months contract

Interviews: Phone interview followed by face-to-face or WebEx if out of town

H1 copy needed for submission

Notes:

  • This is a LEAD role with 10+ years need to have lead experience and STRONG communication skills since they will be leading a team.
  • Must be a back end developer, if there are several front end technologies on the resume they will be DQ’d (angular, spring, etc.).
  • Must have Jenkins or an automation tool
  • Must have developed APIs, preferably with Springboot
  • Using Cucumber for testing


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
• Partner with multiple vendors to create estimates and delivery plans for projects or programs across an application family. 
• Ensure quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors’ technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects or programs for an application family. 
• Provide technology leadership and delivery accountability for solutions for multiple concurrent projects within an application family (i.e. Specialty, Home Delivery, Claims, etc). 
• Key aspect of this is “tech debt” removal when possible. 
• Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area. 
• Partner with architects to set direction for maturing use of/retiring/adding technology components in the ESI environment. 
• Provide technical guidance to projects/programs for complex components of a multiple technology suites. 
• Lead efforts to develop standard practices, components, guidelines for use of complex technology components. 
• Lead actions to determine root cause of problems and drive resolution. 
• Work on team/solution architecture to ensure solutions are extensible, simple, optimal and scalable. 

QUALIFICATIONS 
• Experience developing and deploying Java web service applications in an Enterprise scale environment. 
• Experience with software debugging and integration techniques (API, Services, SOA). 
• Experience with source control management tools such as Git, SVN, TFS or CVS. 
• Solutions are innovative, thorough, practical and consistent with organizational objectives. 
• Strong customer service focus. 
• Ability to lead discussions with all levels of the organization and provide balanced information of an idea or communication of an issue regardless of written or verbal. 
• Strong mentoring skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines. 
• Adaptability and willingness to lean new tools and applications. 
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across project teams. 
• Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5+ years’ experience. 
• Strong background in architecture, design and implementation of Services and Enterprise Application Integrations (REST & SOAP based APIs)
