Linux Systems Engineer & Linux System Administrator

El Segundo, CA. (Local consultant only)

Local and F2F is required 

6 months+ 

 

Responsibilities Include:

• Implement and troubleshoot server/systems infrastructure in a large 24x7 environment.
• Be able to implement from design diagrams a highly available and scalable system infrastructure. Candidate should be able to translate a design concept into a working diagram highlighting individual hardware/software components required to integrate the project into existing infrastructure.
• Manage work completion to engineering milestones by ensuring that development, integration, test and production environments are all in sync
• Support and maintain communication and project workflow between development group of architecture and engineering teams and the operations/implementation group.
• Experience with and understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenStack and VMware
• Advanced experience with the following VMware concepts:
• VMware vRealize Operations Manager
• vDistributed Switches
• vMotion/Storage vMotion
• Able to create, maintain & deploy templates
• Create clones & customization profiles
• High Availability (HA) & Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS)
• Host profiles
• Install and configure Dell blades chassis and servers (Rack mounted & Blades)
