Hi Friends!

Just wish to say the meet was great! Thanks and congratulations to the
key organizers (Kapya, Madya, Veeroo, Siddu and many more) for the good job
done.
I enjoyed it thoroughly even being in silent / vibrating mode (not all the
time!!..). We must ensure meeting once a year during the same time even in
bigger nos.
Guys who were missing, for sure you missed it this time but ensure you do not
miss it again when we meet in 2011.

As I clearly remember (although I was drunk..) we picked up few discussions on
making contributions for corpus fund to enable
economically underprivileged children to get into Sainik School Bijapur. Pl let
me know if any decisions were made. If not can we pick these discussions forward
to logical conclusion. Its a great initiative by Veeroo and perfect way for all
of us to payback to the school.
Pl revert with your opinions on this.

Best Regards
Rudrya

Hi all,

Thanks for the superb get-together. It was, indeed, a memorable one.

To pick-up and to carry forward the discussion, I recommend we brainstorm through this googlegroup ID itself. Let us arrive at some decision (tentative) which we can plan how to give concrete shape later.

My points:

i) I agree to veeroo's point that we support two kids per year. But wouldn't support his fund collection of Rs.50000/- per head.

ii) Now, then, how to make it an ongoing effort. For that we need not collect 50000 per head, instead my suggestion is that we collect for 3 kids instead of 2. The fund for 3 kid will be kept untouched and let it accumulate. However, sponsoring for 2 kids will not stop. I prefer it to continue even after our silver jubilee function.

iii) Since we are not in a hurry, let the third kid fund slowly but steadily start amassing itself.

iv) Now those who would say, donating for 3 kids would be too much then let us sponsor 1 kid only and the fund for 2nd kid will go untouched. (I am with this option).

v) As 'NOTHING IS FREE', I would like this sponsorship also not to be given free. It has to be given to a student and parents only if they agree (moral agreement) to sponsor one more child once this kid gets settled in his life. Let it take 15 years, but he has to sponsor a child in the 16th year.

Kindly putforth your opinions. I will do the compiling part of all the points sent by you people. Hope this should be okay.

Thanks and Regards
E.Anand

Hello All,
No progress at all... are we serious about this?
Should there be any other methods or plans, let's discuss.

Hello Everyone,

Its almost a month since all of us met

the photos on facebook are great, I guess there must be many more photos that have not been put on the facebook or shared, I think we can start from there

Thanks to Rudrappa, for initiating this discussion, I think we need to take this forward

we can start with sponsoring only one kid only - which will be about 20K per year and for seven years - that will be about 1.4 lakhs in seven years

which means we need to collect 20 thousand rupees per year

This can be done by one of us, but, that would not be represent the whole batch,

we had collected 1.25 lakhs for the meet just between 35 members, I guess this is a sum we can manage easily

hope everyone will contribute to the idea and eventually contribute in executing the idea

Guys ,

I dont think so we can iron out all the details on a mail group .

So 2-3 guys take the lead and finalize everything  and send out details to every one and start collecting money .

also we will have to get in touch with guys who are not on mail whose number are in the excel sheet sent out by Rambo.

Thanks
Kapya

Hi Guys,

I think we need to come to an consensus where every body agrees whole heartedly, otherwise the ideas will not turn out to be success. My suggestion would be to have everybody involve in evolving still more ideas to help school, so that there is robustness in the proposal we are giving.

I think the ideas has to be materialised with reallistic approach and how to execute the ideas in long run.
This is a debatable topic, I think we need to take this seriously and come to an conclusion very shortly.
