I have a subscription to Netflix that is billed monthly and deducted from the credit I have with the iTunes Store. However I just received a "Billing Problem" email that states Billing Problem, update payment information. I do not have a credit card on file as I have a substantial credit on file and the correct balance is showing. I have had Netflix for two years and never had this issue. Why would I now receive a Billing Problem?

As I'm unable to review your account details here, I suggest that you contact Apple Media Services. They have additional tools used to clarify questions just like this one. You can contact them here: Apple - Support - Solutions

It may have been a phishing email as my most recent charge from Netflix went through without any issues and I haven't received any further emails. Unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost my email so cannot even check the validity of that particular email. However there was no link within the email so didn't think it suspicious.

Hello, long time user of paypal, first time with a question. Ive had my paypal all set up with my bank card and have been using it to pay for netflix for about 4-5 months now. However, I woke up this morning to find a email from them saying my account is on hold because they could not porcess my paypal information.

so... i check my profile there... found nothing wrong. checked my profile here... found nothing out of the ordinary. no fees owed or anything like that. Call netflix custommer service line... they tell me to make sure nothing is wrong here.

Now, i did have some trouble a month ago when netflix charged to my paypal, my paypal charged my bank.. to find no money(overspent on christmas, forgot about the incomming charge) so I had to fix those fees, which I did. So im really not sure what is wrong. is paypal angry with me and no longer allowing things to be processed through my bank account? it doesnt seem so, as ive spent money at other sites just fine. I'm really just kinda stuck and confused... any ideas?

I have exactly the same issue. Ive been a Netflix customer for years and Use PayPal for many daily transactions. Today I received an email saying payment wasnt processed, now I can only enter a credit card.

Same issue. The problem is with NETFLIX. PayPal claims Netflix changed the payment parameters so the paypal account needs to be verified by a credit card. I wasted an entire day, and got bounced back & forth. Netflix said it was Paypal's issue, and Paypal said it was Netflix. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE due to the fact that neither company, even the supervisors did not appear to know what the heck is going on? Pathetic. 4 phone calls!!!

I transfer funds from my bank account to my paypal account. The money is just sitting there waiting for Netflix to take it, but they will not because i have no credit card? There is no reason they need one. When talking to Netflix, the CSR even said they don't need to verify a paypal account, and they could not understand why the subscription process demands a credit card. Despite this I can't complete my account with Netflix without a credit card.

My PayPal balance wasn't enough to cover my Netflix subscription this month so my account got "HOLD". I tried updating my details but it kept saying sorry, try again later... so I cancelled my membership then restarted it again. Then up to the part that I renew payment details... There appears to be a problem with your Paypal account. Please try again... contacted netflix told me it was not going through in PayPal.. any suggestions?

Exactly this happened to me yesterday. I think it's on Netflix side - I've tried swapping PayPal with credit card option, I get the same orange box, different error message. Can't think of anything I haven't tried, so I just try again every two or so hours, no luck.

Apparently this is an ongoing problem when attempting to register for an account with Netflix. When reaching the credit card stage, step 3 I believe, being turned away with the notice: "Sorry, but we are unable to complete the sign-up process now. Please try again later." Elsewhere the solution mentions faulty response to the card used or the bank behind that card. In my case I attempted to use cards from two different banks, one here in AU and the other on a US bank... and even offered to pay via PayPal... to no avail. Why? Does Netflix not want my business? Is this something personal? Is there another choice for the same service Netflix offers?

I called to Netflix support team and they give a solution and it worked great, I could move from Paypal to Debit card , I was unable due a message in a Yellow box saying that wasnt possible the sign up procces . On the phone you should say them you want to erase the paypal option from your account , then they will stop your memebership, try you to log off, the solution that technical support gave me was , not the click on the "Log in " option ( Never click on the resume membership , it will head you to the kind of glitch) , instead you must click on the option " Join free for a month " then when the page requiere your mail and pass just put the email and pass that you have been using normally for your netflix account , next step is choose your plan and fill your payment option . I had been talking for almost an hour with technical support and finally the gave me a solution . Hope it works for you .

I was stuck at the payment (step 3) option too. I managed to go back to the Netflix home page and view my account settings since I was partially set up. I was hoping to input my credit card there. When I filled in my phone number, Netflix said it had texted me a confirmation code and to enter it. It's been 2+ hours and I have not received any text. I also tried the option of having Netflix call me with the code to activate my account. I got a message saying it had called, yet no calls came to my phone and it has been 2+ hours.

I stayed on the phone with my credit card company while entering my payment information. They keep telling me no transaction is coming thru on their end, even when they check the declined transactions. It' s just not appearing.

I logged out of Netflix on all devices (computers, firestick, tv, etc.) and then waited 3 MONTHS. Then I tried again and my credit card payment went through. Mind you I had also done this at least once in the past and it had not gone through then. I can only guess that they let a % of new credit card subscriptions in a month and then try to make everyone else buy their Netflix gift card by saying their credit card transactions won't go through. If weren't for specific shows that are only on Netflix, I would refuse to do business with them. I am still dissatisfied what I went through to sign up. It does feel dishonest, and I am weary about what's going to happen when I have to update my credit card for payment.

I too had the same issue when I try to set up the Netflix account with my yahoo email address. When I happened to select the payment method it kept on givining the above error message in a yellow box for both visa and paypal options.

Netflix wont allow my paypal as my payment method. It keeps saying somethings wrong with my paypal account. I have called netflix and they say it is an issue with my account. However netflix appears as active in my account.

If Netflix already appears on your Manage Automatic Payments page of your PayPal account then you're set. Netflix will automatically withdraw the amount due each month and you'll receive a PayPal receipt when that happens.

Is PayPal not listed in your Netflix account as the payment method? If it is not, go back to the Manage Automatic Payment page and cancel the active Netflix profile there. And then go to Netflix and re-link your account. I also suspect that you can only set up one PayPal account at a time as PayPal method and and any active Automatic Payment profile to Netflix has to be canceled first.

i already canceled active subscribtion on paypal then canceled my account on netflix and tried to restart the membership but it still gives me the same message that "There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use."

Hello, recently i ordered an EE TV and i have added netflix premium with it, everything are good untill now after that i received email for activing my netflix , after activing to my netflix i watch at the same day and everything are cool,

but there an issue after 1 day or 2 day i get email from netflix thats they telling me to update the payment method, and after checking my account on EE i find that the subscription are active and work, and i dont want pay for netflix since i am already paying VIA EE TV, so i need soulation asap, bytheway i had a friend had the same problem, so i need someone who can help to resolve that

I hope you understand my request, Because my request is that the payment method of my netflix which is EE are hold, just today i received the email from netflix that asking me to update the payment method, and my account of NETFLIX are linked directly with EE TV package, so i need help from support because as i can see that the netflix are active on EE but on netflix they losted the payment.

The most common cause for experiencing Netflix problem with the payment method you are trying to use is using a card or payment method that is not universally supported by Netflix or within your specific region.

Hence, we recommend that you either add a card or payment platform with valid information or check and modify your payment information to confirm its accuracy. That can be done by following the steps below:

In such situations, we suggest reaching out to Netflix customer support and explaining your problem. Request an in-chat option to update your payment method. They will provide you with a secure form that does not reveal your card details to the agent. Use this form to successfully update your payment information and resolve the payment error.

I cancelled Sky Q but then decided to stay after receiving an offer, Netflix was working fine during the cancelllation period but it stopped working as soon as I recontracted. It keeps asking to add payment card/details.
