Title: Power Platform Solution Architect – PWAA Predictive Model Modernization

Location: Olympia WA (Remote also okay)

 

 

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Solution Architect to lead the modernization of an enterprise financial forecasting and analytics platform currently maintained in Excel. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power Platform, Power BI, data transformation, automation, and analytics, with the ability to convert complex spreadsheet-based business processes into scalable, governed, and automated solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Design and implement end-to-end Power Platform solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power Query.
• Modernize Excel-based forecasting and reporting processes into a centralized analytics platform.
• Build automated data ingestion and transformation pipelines from multiple financial and operational systems.
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and analytical reports.
• Implement forecasting logic including cash flow projections, burn-rate analysis, scenario planning, and financial reporting.
• Create Power Apps interfaces for scenario management, user inputs, assumptions, and workflow tracking.
• Automate business processes and refresh cycles using Power Automate.
• Design scalable data models and ensure governance, auditability, and security of business data.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and leadership to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills

 

• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Power BI
• Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven)
• Power Automate
• Dataverse
• Power Query
• Power BI Dataflows
• Experience with data management, data transformation, ETL, and data integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling concepts.
• Experience developing enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Ability to automate manual business processes and spreadsheet-driven workflows.
• Experience with governance, security, and role-based access controls.

Preferred Skills

 

• Financial forecasting, budgeting, or cash-flow analysis experience.
• Scenario planning and what-if analysis.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory.
• SharePoint integration experience.
• Public sector or government project experience.
• Experience modernizing legacy Excel-based systems.
