Project details
Describe the scope of the work:
Serve as the primary Salesforce (primarily Salesforce CPQ and Sales Cloud) technical subject matter expert and play a hands-on technical role in guiding the organization through a
successful launch and transition of ownership of our Salesforce platform from our current Salesforce partner.
- This will be done in close collaboration with the Core project team; Technical Lead, Senior Salesforce BSA, Business Process Architect,
- Enterprise Architect and other technical resources for the project) and our Salesforce Partner.
- Transition in ownership includes:
- Understanding what has been built
- Completing any remaining work needed to go live
- Successfully going live with the new Salesforce platform
- Taking over ongoing maintenance and support of what has been built
- Contributing to future build work
- Informing and implementing strategies for CI/CD, test automation and AI driven
- software development
- Transitioning from partner's tools by acquiring and configuring tools to enable those
- strategies
- Finalize what our long term/ongoing resource requirements are (both skillset and
- capacity)
- Mentoring/upskilling team members on our new Salesforce platform
What skills and experience are required?
Experience
Experience leading a team with and heavily contributing to ongoing development of
SFDC environments.
Experience (5 years) developing in both Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ
Experience developing and implementing strategies for CI/CD, test automation and AI
driven software development
Preferred Experience
Experience working with Conga Composer
Experience working with Mulesoft
Experience working with Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement)
Experience working with Salesforce integrations into financial systems
Skills
Salesforce CPQ and Sales Cloud Development and Admin Expertise
Expert level skills with SFDC development and administration in both Salesforce
CPQ and Sales Cloud.
Expert level understanding of SFDC ecosystem, capabilities, architecture,
products, and best practices
Leadership - Ability to lead up the transition and ongoing development work
Strategic Thinking - think big picture and about the long-term sustainability and
future of the platform
Mentorship - grow the skills of those around you
Communication
Create strong documentation/artifacts
Effective with Influence/Persuasion
General development experience
Shares similar practices to our dev teams e.g. agile ceremonies, empowered teams
Similar dev practices to our developers e.g. CI/CD practices, code review, preview/review, test automation, etc.
