Job Title:                             Sr. BI Developer

Location:                             Boca Raton FL

Duration:                             6+ Months

 

Description:

Translate business requirements into the design and implementation of features and functionality required to deliver the required results

• Code complex application components based on functional requirements

• Collaborates with Solutions Architect and Data Architect to understand business requirements and data model

• Designing, coding, testing, and documenting all new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs

• Manages complete life cycle for most complex or high-risk components

• Analyzes functional design/overall application technical design and develops detailed module technical application for complex components

• Identifies opportunities for improving software by partnering with customers; evaluates new and existing software products

• Demonstrates expert knowledge of technical design alternatives and their implications by guiding the development team in overall application technical design activities

• Understand full SDLC model (Waterfall and Agile methodology)

• Deliver high quality code with minimal defects/rework

Required Qualifications:

 

• BS in Computer Science or related field, Graduate degree preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in ETL / OLAP development and Data Warehousing

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server

• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting SSIS, SSAS

• Experience working with end users, managers, customers, and other stakeholders to define BI needs and requirements

• Highly Proficient with SQL, Tuning

• Data modeling, Star Schema,

• Excellent communication skills required

• Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills required

• Troubleshooting and performance-tuning BI tools, systems, and software

• Ability to articulate complex technical topics in business terms to non-technical audiences

• Experienced in analyzing user requirements, sourcing data, and building front-end BI applications for end-users

• Experience dealing with and resolving data quality/integrity problems
