This role requires someone who understands both SAP technical configuration AND automotive business processes, particularly in after-market sales and logistics.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP/ERP Solution Architect with deep domain expertise in the electric vehicle (EV) and automotive industry to lead critical after-market sales and logistics integration initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge business and technology, translating complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions while driving enterprise-wide system integration across Salesforce DMS, SAP ERP, and logistics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Solution Design
Architect end-to-end SAP solutions for after-market sales, logistics, and vehicle distribution operations
Design integration architecture between Salesforce (Deal Management System) and SAP backend for seamless transaction processing
Develop solution blueprints for sequential invoicing, tax compliance (e.g., Zatca QR codes), and regional/country-specific regulatory requirements
Create technical roadmaps for SAP Fiori interface implementations and quality management workflows
Business & Technology Leadership
Partner with business leaders, and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical solutions
Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements across finance, supply chain, quality, parts management, and logistics teams
Provide thought leadership on automotive industry best practices and EV-specific operational challenges
Present solution architectures and recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Domain Expertise - Automotive & After-Market Sales
Apply deep understanding of automotive after-market sales operations including parts management, service operations, and dealer networks
Design solutions for vehicle logistics including car movement tracking, delivery management, and timestamp recording (HU#, TU#, Inbound/Outbound)
Configure SAP modules supporting Order-to-Cash (OTC) billing processes, Procure-to-Pay (PTP), and inventory management
Address automotive-specific challenges such as OS&D events (Overage, Shortage, and Damage), quality inspections, and vendor/dealer integrations
Systems Integration & Implementation
Lead integration projects connecting SAP with Salesforce, third-party logistics systems, and dealer management platforms
Design and oversee implementation of invoice credit/debit workflows, sequential invoicing for compliance, and multi-region billing processes
Architect solutions for real-time data synchronization across enterprise systems
Ensure integration supports scalability for phased rollouts across regions (e.g., Europe, Middle East/KSA, Arizona operations)
Quality & Process Optimization
Design SAP Quality Management (QM) workflows for parts inspection, damage assessment, and quality notifications
Implement solutions for tracking damaged parts, rework instructions, scrap management, and vendor quality processes
Optimize logistics workflows including PO creation, delivery tracking, package location management, and missing package resolution
Support digital twin recording and supply chain visibility initiatives
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
8+ years of SAP implementation and solution architecture experience
Expert knowledge of SAP modules: SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), WM/EWM (Warehouse Management), FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
Strong experience with SAP Fiori interface design and implementation
Proven track record designing complex system integrations (SAP-to-Salesforce, SAP-to-third-party logistics platforms)
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based ERP solutions
Domain Knowledge
5+ years in automotive industry, preferably with EV/electric vehicle manufacturers
Deep understanding of after-market sales operations, parts distribution, and dealer network management
Knowledge of automotive logistics including vehicle distribution, shipping, and delivery management
Familiarity with automotive quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements (regional tax codes, government invoicing standards)
Business Acumen
Proven ability to engage with business leaders
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa
Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Inventory Management business processes
Knowledge of financial compliance, tax regulations, and multi-country/multi-currency operations
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Solution Architect certification
Experience with Salesforce integration and CRM platforms
Knowledge of IoT and connected vehicle platforms
Experience with AI/ML applications in supply chain and quality management
Understanding of EV battery supply chain and charging infrastructure
Experience in startup or high-growth manufacturing environments
