OVERVIEW
The ServiceNow Developer should have a proven track record in developing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow applications, with expertise in ServiceNow scripting languages and a solid understanding of its core architecture. This role requires strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using scripting languages, including JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and AngularJS.
· Implement client-side and server-side configurations, including business rules, UI policies, scripts, formatters, macros, transform maps/scripts, scheduled jobs, script includes, scripted REST APIs, access controls, and user criteria.
· Work with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM product suites to design and implement workflows, leveraging Flow Designer and platform best practices.
· Execute technical solutions as defined by architects and process engineers while minimizing technical debt.
· Deliver update sets and support release management in alignment with Agile development methodologies.
· Develop and maintain ServiceNow AppEngine applications, Workspaces, and Dashboards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address implementation tasks and ensure alignment with project goals.
· Conduct ServiceNow upgrades, patching, regression testing, and remediation.
· Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Proven experience developing in ServiceNow, with a strong understanding of ServiceNow’s scripting languages and framework.
· Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and AngularJS.
· Strong knowledge of ServiceNow core architecture, ITSM, and ITOM product suites.
· Hands-on experience with workflow configuration, Flow Designer, and other automation tools within ServiceNow.
· Experience working in Agile development environments, participating in sprints and iterative development cycles.
· Familiarity with ServiceNow AppEngine, Workspaces, and Dashboards.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating technical documentation.
· ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other relevant certifications are preferred.
· Experience with integrating ServiceNow with external systems using APIs and web services.
· Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
