Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge in Palo Alto firewalls and hands-on experience working with Algosec. This role involves leading network security initiatives, ensuring the integrity and security of our network infrastructure, and collaborating with various teams to implement and manage security measures.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of network security solutions.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Utilize Algosec for firewall policy management, risk analysis, and compliance reporting.
• Monitor network traffic for security events and respond to incidents.
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the network.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.

 

Must-Have Skills:

• Expert knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Algosec.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with firewall policy management and risk analysis.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network security devices.
• Experience working with next-generation firewalls, including features such as application awareness, intrusion prevention, and advanced threat protection.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security technologies and practices, specifically Azure cloud security
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead and mentor a team, manage projects, and drive security initiatives.

 

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with other firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Check Point).
• Knowledge of network intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
• Understanding cloud security principles and practices.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of total experience in network security.
• 7-9 years of relevant experience working with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proven track record of leading network security projects and initiatives.
• Must-have certifications: Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
