Hi,

I just tried to install version 5.0 and the following error was reported on the install page

installing...

Fatal error: Call to a member function encode() on a non-object in /path/to/ajaximrpg/ajax_act.php on line 519

It seems that the error was irrelevent and the installation actually occured anyway.

Now if i visit the index page I'm logged in as a guest.

Found alternative issues with chat rooms.

click join chat room

enter room that does not exist
enter password

first time it displayed an error saying there were invalid characters, next time it does nothing at all (although the room was created in the db).

After clicking join a few times, the join room stayed on screen for several minutes, then the room appeared (on the list on the right), and i was told I am already in the room.

If I double click on any of the rooms i am asked for a password, when entered, i am told i am already in the room. However, from a chat point of view, i only see the lobby

What browser are you using?  Is this a publicly accessible web site that I can try and reproduce the error on?

ajaximrpg uses a browser windowing system: Could the chat window be stuck behind the lobby chat window?  What do you see if you enter several rooms and then close the lobby chat window?
