I took ajax im 3.41 (not 4.0) and modified it so I could run D&D games
on it. I call it "ajaximrpg".
I just released ajaximrpg 4.00, the first release.
My demo server is running at:
http://www.svexpertise.com/ajaximrpg/server/
The code and 4.00 downloads are at:
http://ajaximrpg.sourceforge.net
How is ajaximrpg different from regular ajax im?
Anonymous users with lobby (no account needed)
User can change his own name on the fly
User can whisper inside a chat room
User can perform an action
Chat rooms are password protected
Dice rolling
Automatic chat logging
Special GM mode
Based on version 3.41
Lots of bugs
Why create ajaximrpg?
OpenRPG, the most popular system, has been falling apart for a long
time. Plus, it requires installation on the player's computer which
was a hassle for players and difficult for developers to push out new
features to existing users. I wanted something with zero installation
which made it easy for me to tweak and push out new versions to my
players. So, I invented ajaximrpg.
Kudos, criticism, promotion, suggestions, patches, volunteers are
welcome.
