Hello,

I found your website and I watched it and it is awesome !!!

Currently, I am working on a project on CakePHP and I would like to develop (or re-use an existing solution) to have a Instant Messaging system with the following features :

- Talk with many people at the same time (with a system of group),
- Conversations recordings,
- Switch status (connected, busy ...),

All of conversations must be privates !!

Excuse for my bad english but I am french ^^

I don't think that an exact solution exists for you yet.

On one hand, ajaximrpg provides a lot of features written in PHP that you are looking for but is a full screen solution which you are probably not looking for.

On the other hand, Ajax IM provides a Facebook-style UI which you are looking for but provides it using Node.js, not PHP.

Ultimately, I plan to provide what you are looking for but I don't have a solution available today.  You could take a deeper look at ajaximrpg and see if it will fit your needs.
