Stop hacking in text box of ajax chat?

How can i stop users from kicking out other users by a timeout simulation in my ajax chat? It seems like soemone can send command in the message box what kills the uppdating and the chat looks dead. Until i relog and find out that i have been "frozen" . . how can i fix this?
