Ajax chat doesn't support phpbb 3.1.1?

Can i install ajax chat on phpbb forum with last version installed?

It probably won't work out of the box with 3.1 although it might.

3.1 has hooks which should make the installation and mod process easier, but it means integration will require different steps.

You can always try to run it on your 3.1 board and see what happens. Chat won't break your forum (but for example if you add the shoutbox by editing your functions.php, that might crash).

I just upgraded from PHPBB 3.0.12 to 3.1.3.

I installed it and it appears that it's not reading the PHPBB Database information.  It's giving me a 1045 connection error with the incorrect DB username and no password.  Ideas?

You will need to manually enter the "dbConnection" information for "user", "pass" and "name" in the config.php file

However even getting that to work it constantly logs you in and out every second. Very frustrating.

ajaxchat doesn't pick these up automatically in phpBB 3.1

Still waiting for someone smarter than us to figure it out and post the fixed files. Sucks losing our chatroom  after depending on it for so long. :(

Tell me about it. I have a heavily modified version running a Socket Server connection on phpBB 3.0.12 and I can get 60 users running fine in it.

Now I can't get anyone in the new version :(
