This is just my opinion. Google Groups forum system Sux!

Need a host, domain etc? No problem, but seriously This structure is both confusing and can be a headache at times. Not to mention some posts don't save or display properly not to mention the posting features are severly limited. Anyway that my personal rant, but w/e.

Its your call Frug.

Google groups is annoying but not terrible enough for me to care to move it.

I do wish github had forum hosting. Sourceforge  had it, but it was slow and rather crap.

This seems to do the job, even if it's a bit of a pain. Do people really care?

I could see it being useful by sorting things like, mod's, errors, troubleshooting etc, vs having everything on 1 row. I've no issue with setting one up and setting up the admins to run it. There's a lot of good information here, the only issue is most either gets lost amongst others or requires filtering. Google Groups is pretty basic on this.

Sub sections would be the best part about this.

Maybe a the use of a Google site could be used for this. I know it is not the best solution but you could have different categories and topics. Then the Google group can be embedded. I have done a few of these and they really well for the most part.

Well I would rather have a place that's dedicated to ajax and more user friendly to everyone with an easy to use structure and layout because google groups is beyond sloppy and unorganized.
A dedicated forum and its own Support Chatroom would make things so much easier IMO not to mention it would be like a central hub/headquarters for Ajax chat and its own download system to store new releases and user modification packages.

Again that's just my two cents but once again, its your call.

Would be great having a  real resource we could count on, I haven't contributed anything in over a year and have decided to play with this again but trying to locate my contributions and see whats new is already proving a pain and even if I find my contributions I'm not sure the files will still be accessible or even relevant and if someones cleaned up my mods and released better versions theres really no easy way to come back and pick up where I left off o.O

If we had a proper forum and way to list mods and work together helping solve issues, just simple organization would go a long way ...
