Backgrounds:

So I"m putting together a fansite for a game I play, there is a huge community, and currently they only use a shoutbox to communicate.  What I"m looking to do is (if even possible) find a way to make it so if a member belongs to a specific usergroup that a specific color is applied to their background OR just their name.

I.e

The game has Game masters and Moderators:

Could set   Blue names for GM's and Yellow for Moderators:    I know there exists Green for forum moderators but I wan't to keep that separate since its a fansite but the colors would serve so that people would know who is talking and that they're genuine.

So either have it to just change the name colors or better yet the background of which their text shoots out across this  way should the room be crowded people can get needed information should they make a statement. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I currently use 0.87 w/ Vbulletin.

Youtube,

Currently I"ve followed 2 guides posted on here and have attempted to follow up with the creators, however both seem to be missing as the posts are quite old, curious if anyone else has had issues implementing the youtube function?

I added the button but when used it only shows the text for the BB code and the link in text instead of a url.

For the pop in player I call the javascript and have followed the youtube guide by Yif  to the T. However it will post the link and name but without images. I can supply some screenshots if someone is willing to help or pm me, whichever is easier, any help is appreciated.

I think in the CSS, there is colours for different groups already (mod, admin, guest, user) so you could add entries in global.css for each one if you want to have the colours the same across all styles.

This is what I originally followed when I added youtube functionality to my implementation, http://sourceforge.net/p/ajax-chat/discussion/774132/thread/9a1a7df2 so hopefully you find it as easy to follow as I did.

Actually that is the link I followed and ended up getting just a line of a video title + the link vs the title as a link, the popout didn't work and the java doesn't seem to be pushing it, been attempting to get it to work for a while and no avail. Glad you were able to easily follow it but I'm having issues (for the youtube.) Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

As for color's I tried following the phobb3 integration but there is one part completely off where even though I tried it it did not work. There have been a few posts where people have claimed to do it diff ways but noones really given good tutorials.  Again appreciate any help I can get.
