Hi,

i use the ajax chat on phpbb2 and phpbb3 forums with the socket server.

Flash Version 12 is installed.

When i start the socket server in ssh like:

./server start

The server is online.

Then I check if the client is connecting to the socket server to listen to the default port

netstat -nat | grep 1935

When a client is online with Firefox or IE

The result looks like:

tcp        0      0 89.101.114.158:1935     93.17.123.159:51097       ESTABLISHED

That means, the client is connected to the socket server. Great!

But when you connect with the Chrome Browser to the Chat, it looks like:

tcp        0      0 127.0.0.1:46621         127.0.0.1:1935          TIME_WAIT

Chrome connection with socket server is not working. Off course, I have the latest version installed.

Do you have any Idea to fix this issue? You can reproduce this? I tried it with some pc´s and notebooks. Chrome has also the latest flash version...

Thanks for help
Lars

The Socket Server is a target to be re-written. The flash interface the chat uses is ve ylikely outdated. x) So the socket server will most probably not work on ultra modern browsers.
