Error: Connection status: 403

I had a really old version of Ajax Chat running years ago. I recently updated phpBB, deleted the old ajax chat files and database tables, and reinstalled. Now, my messages aren't posted, it doesn't list me under Online Users, and, if I click "Logout," it doesn't do anything. If I sit and wait, I get the following over and over: 

ChatBot: Error: Connection status: 403

Please help. I love this chat!
