About the Role
iT2 is seeking an experienced SAP SD/MM Functional Configuration Consultant to support and enhance SAP ERP Sales & Distribution and Materials Management processes within a warehouse and outbound logistics environment.
This role requires a strong functional expert who can provide hands-on configuration, production support, integration troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration across SAP and integrated warehouse and shipping systems.
The ideal candidate combines deep SAP SD expertise with warehouse process knowledge and strong communication skills in a fast-paced operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Sales & Distribution & Outbound Logistics (Primary Focus – ~50%)
- Provide functional support and configuration for SAP SD processes across order-to-cash and outbound logistics.
- Support warehouse operations including inbound, quality, and outbound activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide onsite support as needed.
- Coordinate with global SAP support teams for enhancements, testing, and deployments.
- Support integration points with Quality Management and Plant Maintenance processes.
- Assist with master data maintenance and data migration activities.
Shipping & Logistics Application Integration (~30%)
- Support integrated shipping systems and related SAP interfaces.
- Coordinate system updates, patches, and regression testing.
- Analyze and resolve SAP interface issues impacting shipping and outbound processing.
- Ensure business continuity through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
Warehouse Management System Integration (~20%)
- Support integration between SAP and automated warehouse management platforms.
- Analyze and troubleshoot application issues affecting warehouse execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and process improvements.
- Support new functionality deployments and change management activities.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP SD/MM functional experience.
- 3+ years supporting warehouse-related SAP transactions and logistics processes.
- Experience participating in ERP implementations or enhancement projects.
- Strong background in process mapping and translating business requirements into SAP solutions.
- Experience working with third-party systems integrating with SAP.
Functional & Technical Expertise
- Deep expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP Materials Management.
- Experience supporting warehouse management systems.
- Understanding of outbound logistics and shipping integrations.
- Knowledge of quality-related logistics integration.
- Familiarity with invoicing, customer master data, and financial integration points.
- Experience with master data migration tools such as BDC and LSMW.
- Ability to write functional queries and support reporting needs.
Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in an operational warehouse environment when required.
- Self-directed with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus (Spanish, French, German).
