Dear all,
I can currently offer up to 2 research positions at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, based in Warsaw, Poland. In particular, I am looking for candidates with background in at least one of the following:
- theoretical computer science
- logic
- computational learning theory
- computational social choice
- artificial intelligence
- machine learning
The position(s) will be part of a new team focused on theoretical problems in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with the rest of the team but they would be given relative freedom in choosing what they want to work on. No teaching is required.
The positions are thought as postdoc level but there is also a possibility of employing a candidate without PhD, who would then be expected to join the Institute's doctoral program next year. The initial contract would be for 1 year with possible extension for the next 2 years. After 3 years the candidate might be offered a tenured position, should their research output be satisfactory.
There will be an official call advertised later this year, but I would like to ask interested candidates to get in touch, ideally before the end of October. Please send your inquiries to
tste...@ippt.pan.plAll the best,
Tomasz Steifer
